I throw out the last three year’s results on the assumption that it’s too early to make fun of Shane and Jerry for taking Glen Coffee #7 overall in 2009 or Kevin Smith #4 overall in 2008, and just look at 2007 and back to rank the best and worst rookie draft picks in QFL history.<\/p>\n

Hint: SOQ is easily the worst rookie drafting team in the QFL, even worse than QBC.<\/p>\n

Between 2002 and 2007 SOQ picked an unprecedented 23 rookies, by far the most in the League (including 10 first rounders in 2003 and 2004 combined), and ended up with nothing besides Andre Johnson and Stephen Jackson. Out of 23 picks Scott should have at least<\/em> gotten lucky 5 times minimum.<\/p>\n

Hate to say it but Duggan seems like the best rookie picker over the period 2002 to 2007. You can’t do much better than Westbrook #21 overall and Jones-Drew #16 overall. If we just look at the 2006 draft in isolation, Paul’s Queef franchise clearly had the best single draft day ever landing Jennings #21 and Marshal #24. Queef had no first round picks that year, only picks #21, 23 and 24!<\/p>\n
