called for a vote on using LeagueSafe and when to hold free agency in two separate emails just after midnight last night. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Berglage on Free Agency.<span style=\"font-family: Arial; color: #000000; font-size: x-small;\"><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div>Now that we have rosters set we need to decide on free agency.<\/div>\n<div>\u00c2\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>NFL&#8217;s 1st game is Thursday, Sept\u00c2\u00a0 9.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 We could possibly have a free agency day next Wednesday, Sept 1,\u00c2\u00a0but it would be by email.\u00c2\u00a0 We could then do a waiver pick up on Tuesday, Sept 7 and another free agency on Wednesday, Sept 8&#8230;&#8230;again by email.<\/div>\n<div>\u00c2\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>I understand the ASS system cannot function prior to the results of week one in the case of a bidding tie.<\/div>\n<div>\u00c2\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>We may ask the venerable Seth to receive our bids and sort them (or another knowledgeable and disinterested third party).\u00c2\u00a0 I&#8217;d do it myself but I already have players in mind I want to dump and pick up so I shouldn&#8217;t be involved.<\/div>\n<div>\u00c2\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>We have a few days to figure this out&#8230;..in fact we could just skip the first FA period.\u00c2\u00a0 The point is just to update rosters prior to opening games due to real team roster cuts.\u00c2\u00a0 Why do it twice except to bump up the transaction fees for skin wins?<\/div>\n<div>\u00c2\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>For simplicity I recommend we go with just one FA period the week\u00c2\u00a0of game one and do it one day earlier (Tuesday).\u00c2\u00a0 We can have the results Wednesday and make necessary roster cuts after additions before game one.<\/div>\n<div>\u00c2\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>I know some are chomping at the bit with excitement about the season and would make 10 add\/drops in two weeks if we let them.\u00c2\u00a0 So if the league wants to try to pull of two transaction weeks instead of one before opening day I need to hear it.<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div>Berlage on paying league dues.<span style=\"font-family: Arial; color: #000000; font-size: x-small;\">\u00c2\u00a0 <font id=\"role_document\" face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\" color=\"#000000\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<blockquote>\n<div>The QFL nation blog has pointed out that we do not employ any fiduciary for league funds.\u00c2\u00a0 While QFL, the original, use LeagueSafe we in The Deuce have employed the &#8220;Think\u00c2\u00a0System&#8221; of Professor Henry Hill and the &#8220;Trust System&#8221; of QFL4&#8230;&#8230;may it rest in peace.<\/div>\n<div>\u00c2\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>I don&#8217;t recall this league having a problem with owners settling up at season&#8217;s end and am completely undecided on whether or not we should get money up front.<\/div>\n<div>\u00c2\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>Start up money for each team is $200 for league entry and $25 for the Super Quince prize pool.\u00c2\u00a0 Slaggers fees, transaction fees and fines all add up during the season.\u00c2\u00a0 Confident or not every owner should at least be financially prepared to scratch a $300+ check in January if \u00c2\u00a0things go badly for them (or $388 if you&#8217;re Josh in 2008).<\/div>\n<div>\u00c2\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>I&#8217;ve been in leagues where douches never paid but it&#8217;s never been the case in QFL2.<\/div>\n<div>\u00c2\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>Please respond to all on this email by voting either &#8220;Pay Now&#8221;
