QSN ran an early keeper simulation for QFL1’s 2011 season using KeeperCommish<\/a> and projected some surprises. According to the analysis provided there will be some big name free agents, minimal use of restricted free agent tags and some teams with a lot of salary cap to work with at the Thirteenth Annual Auction in DC.<\/p>\n

Turner & Jones-Drew will be available<\/h3>\n

QUnet was projected to drop, or at least Franchise, Michael Turner (currently $27 L8), and BQP is assumed to have no choice but to drop Jones-Drew ($22 L2), rather than pay him 25% and lose beloved Shonn Greene and Matt Ryan (whose combined salaries are increasing $12).<\/p>\n

All-In Eagles Ted Has $60 To Spend<\/h3>\n

Not including rookie draft picks one can only find 7 keepers (almost all Eagles) and a QFLE guy, Celek, on Ted’s roster. The upside is that leaves $62 to use chasing more eagles players at the Auction. BQP, QUnet and HePQ each have about $40 to spend according to the new free salary cap analysis provided by KeeperCommish <\/a>while FahQ, QU, FRNQ and OrigQ will have between $25-30 left. SOQ, TenQ, QTang and QBC are pretty much not going to be involved.<\/p>\n

Ten Projected Transition Tags, One Possible Franchise<\/h3>\n

At this very early stage of the long, long off-season that might get really, really long if there is a lockout (we’ll know for sure in a month) it looks like only Michael Turner stands out as a franchise tag decision for QUnet. Then there are about 10 transition tags with a handful of A-listers.<\/p>\n
