Thanks to Ted in 2006\u00c2\u00a0the QFL became famous after he submitted a description of our league rules to a writer at Sports Illustrated named Adam Duerson. Adam was researching his latest article on the “lunatic fringe” of fantasy football and he immediately recognized our insanity as newsworthy and mentioned us in a story published in the August 2006 issue.\u00c2\u00a0Until now there was no known online source to view this article.<\/p>\n

Quince Football League<\/p>\n

How did you spend your summer? In 1999 Quince brethren (all Phi Kappa Psis from George Washington) spent theirs concocting what they’ve come to call The Constitution. Seven years later their rule book is a monstrous 81 pages. Some elements: franchise and transition tags, practice squads and a two-round rookie draft. Not surprisingly, three members of the league became lawyers.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Adam was nice enough to sign a bunch of copies for us and there is still one left if any one wants it. I also have a bunch of unsigned ones. Some of the more obsessed among us have framed their copies.<\/p>\n
