Once again an original QFL franchise crushed The Nation in scoring. Ted’s 120.41 points in week 3 is the highest in QFL Nation so far this season, and may mark the beginning of a transition away from QFL1 teams getting blown away, in general, by Colony teams in overall scoring. Now that player contracts have worked thru the system for at least four years in all Leagues, the “playing field” is arguably the most level now that it ever has been and so the veteran QFL teams will now rise to the top. And finally the ponzi scheme will work.

In other skins news, QFL2’s Qonies just overtook #Q Pencil by 1.42 points on MNF for the week 3 high score, but it wasn’t enough to beat the average for the skin, now at 102.89pts. And QFL3 broke their embarrassing scoring drought with Quickly Eliminated’s 107.11 point performance. Their high score to beat is now around 93.

QFL Movers & Shakers Week 3 edition.

#1 (3-0) TENQ – TenQ is second in scoring and hasn’t even started the #20 and #27 highest scoring players yet. It will cost the team about $15 in transaction fees to make all the necessary cuts from QFL Nation’s largest active roster of 31 players. After the cut deadline the team could have as much as $20 in open cap space. TenQ hasn’t made the playoffs for the last two years and hasn’t won the Quince Bowl in 11 years, so management is pretty happy right now.

#2 (2-1) OrigQ – Rishi’s entire team simultaneously flopped in week 3 (except Gates) and still scored 73 points. That’s a good sign especially cause the team is still making horrible lineup calls, this time starting Forsett 14 minutes before game time instead of Olsen. OrigQ better get it together before Week 4’s game against H1Q1. It will decide the division until they play again in week 13.

#3 (2-1) SOQ – SOQ owns the head-to-head tiebreaker over QTang in the newly aligned South division, and so the #3 ranking, even though SOQ’s total scoring is almost 100 points behind QTang’s. It seems like every week some one big on Scott’s team gets injured. This week it’s Steven Jackson. If anyone can hold the ship together it’s Scott.

#4 (2-1) QTang – Appears team doesn’t have much without Jahvid.

#5 (2-1) BQP – Duggan’s new gf must be jealous of his man crush on Demaryius Thomas. Duggan’s second lowest scoring WR btw. Gotta love the down-to-the-wire, less-than-one-point win on MNF when both defenses score negative.

#6 (2-1) H1Q1 – (2-1) H1Q1 – Paul got completely crushed and humiliated the first week with his new team name. Seriously, has anyone ever lost by 76.02 points before?! I didn’t even know it was mathematically possible. At least Paul doesn’t have to pay the $20 lowest score fee, that honor still goes to QBC for their 35.75 pt excuse of a game last week.

Paul may only escape lasting embarrassment because he had his handlers distract everybody in the middle of the games with an announcement containing details of his bachelor party. It was a sneaky move, but it may have worked.  It’s good that he gave everyone 2 months notice so we could hit the gym. But, the problem with Vail is the closest strip clubs are two hours away in Denver.

#7 (1-2) Q – The fourth highest scoring team in the league is 0-2 in division games. So sorry. Team still maintaining appearances though saying “like what i have” and “Vick saving my season” on bbm. Won the week 3 skin.

#8 (1-2) FRNQ – Shh, no one tell McD he just put in a guy going on his bye week.

#9 (1-2) QUnet – Almost perfectly executed starting lineup in week 3. Week 3 is an example of what we expected to see this season. Like FRNQ, QUnet’s first win of the season was huge. Unlike FRNQ, QUnet will turn their season around.

#10 (1-2) FahQ – With so little depth, who is Shane going to start weeks 6 & 8 as bye week fill-ins for Cutler/Roddy and Stewart/D.Will respectively? As it stands those will be easy wins for Quince and Original Quincelar without Shane’s trading from his highly restrictive $90 starting lineup, which he is stubbornly unwilling to do.

#11 (1-2) QBC – Is this team aware there are weekly waiver claims and free agent bids? Dude, Glen Coffee retired two months ago. What is your guys deal? Are you guys a bureaucracy where you have to confirm every move with each other and by the time you do that the deadline has passed so nothing ever gets done? I thought you were each taking turns running the team every other year?

#12 (0-3) QU – How is 0-3 possible with this team? The defending champion is fond of reminding people that he started 1-4 last season, so there is hope Hans.

  1. “It seems like every week some one big on Scott’s team gets injured.” It seems like it because it’s true. All 3 of my starting RBs have been injured. First Grant, then Moreno, then SJax. At least the injuries seem to be declining in severity (knock on wood).
