A reminder to winner bracket teams that have earned byes; set your lineups this week. SuperQuince scoring is cumulative throughout the playoffs, including week 14.

In accordance the Super Quince Bowl Championship rule (see language below), I am reminding all teams that irrespective of whether a team has a bye during the first week of the playoffs, Week 14 point totals are included towards the aggregate amount of points counted for the PLPP grand prize (the SuperQuince Bowl). Quite simply, if you are in the winners’ bracket, and you want a chance to win an extra prize in addition to individual league payout, you need to set a Week 14 lineup, even if you have a bye.

REMEMBER, THE SUPER QUINCE BOWL CHAMPION IS THE INDIVIDUAL QFL LEAGUE CHAMPION WITH THE HIGHEST AGGREGATE SCORING TOTAL DURING WEEKS 14-16.

As such, teams in the losers’ bracket are ineligible to win the Super Quince Bowl Championship. In addition, teams in the winners’ bracket that lose during the playoffs are also ineligible (so even if your team scores a gazillion points in Weeks 14 and 15, but chokes in the individual league championship game, sorry, but your team is disqualified).

With QFL IV no longer participating, the 2010 SuperQuince payouts are as follows:

Individual League Champion with Highest Cumulative Week 14-16 Point Total = $500 Runner Up = $250 Third Place = $150

Good luck in the playoffs!

Rule 25. The QFL Parallel League System (QPLS)

SECTION 1 QPLS PRIZE MONEY

Article 2 is deleted and replaced with:

“”The Super Quince Bowl Champion (I hate that lucky bastard)”

The total amount of the PLPP shall be distributed amongst individual Quince Bowl winners. The largest amount of the QPLS prize money is awarded to the league champion in the QPLS with the highest aggregate scoring total during Weeks 14-16 (the “Super Quince Bowl Champion”), the second largest amount is awarded to the second highest aggregate scoring total during this period, and the remaining PLPP participants shall receive a “participation award.” Starting in the 2008-2009 season, the distribution shall be $500, $250 and $150, respectively.
For each new individual league that joins the QPLS, an additional $150 participation award shall be added to the PLPP, and the remaining funds shall be distributed between the Super Quince Bowl Champion and the runner-up at a 2:1 ratio.

Before Week 14, the Commissioner of QFL I or his designee shall send an email to each team-owner in the QPLS reminding them that irrespective of whether a team has a bye during the first week of the playoffs, Week 14 point totals are included towards the aggregate amount of points counted for the PLPP grand prize. Penalties for fielding an invalid lineup during Week 14 are still governed in accordance to Section 8, Article 1, Penalties (a) and (b).”
