Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.
With internal communications in regard to finding a new commish at an impasse – no willing owners to step up and one who was nominated pulling a Shermanesque statement – current commish Doug had this to say:
“Given the benevolent person I am (and that the league has flourished under my rule) I’m going to pull the unprecedented move of putting myself up for a second term as commish. If anyone else would like to step up for this thankless job, now is the time. Let the nomination/voting proceed.”
At this time no other owner has given any indication of their willing to be commish and Doug has early second term support.
