An anonymous source close to the situation tells QSN that the QFL1 franchise orphaned by Barron has been filled by the QFL2 franchise owners of Bing Dynasty. The terms of the sale was one beer (it is unclear what kind). No details were available about who will take over Bing Dynasty by post time, but it is believed that identifying a replacement owner should be a prerequisite before a final sale is approved.

The sale price was a bit low observed one source who said QUnet “should have gone for at least a 6-pack”.

Somewhat surprisingly there is no language in the Constitution covering ownership changes. So although the transfer happened over a few hours of emails on Thursday, the process was not without controversy. Some COMCOMM members would have liked to see a more formal ownership transfer process established for future precendent, but all were glad that no less than 4 very qualified candidates stepped forward.  In the end, the deal was viewed as a private transaction between Barron and whoever he wanted that should not require a League-wide vote of approval.

From Nordstrom.

I’ve been waiting for my chance to give regular beat-downs to all my old friends

There is still a chance the deal falls thru as the rules are being made up as we go along… but, assuming all proceeds as expected, welcome Josh and Maitreya! And don’t be surprised if you’re contacted by one of these two in the next few days about a trade. They made 10 pre-cut deadline trades last year in QFL2. EOM.
