Tony blown away by the news
Tony surprised by... the news

The fourth QFL League is reportedly faced with replacing 4-5 team owners this season. QSN has not seen the emails, but one of the recipients has been talking and reports that at least 4 teams have informed Commissioner “Hey Hey” Tony that they are bolting. Further details are sketchy and no reasons were given for the abandonments, but you have to think the playoff seeding fiasco probably played a big part.

Our insider said Sean (big loser out of playoff seeding fiasco), Dan, Jim and Chris/JM are the defectors, however, Rishi expressed some confidence in talking at least a couple of them out of it.

Other QFL Nation Orphans

QFL3 lost one team (Bria Bla) which will be replaced by one of two interested parties.

Charlie said he was ditching his QFL2 team late last year, but has since been talked off the ledge and will come back (provided he is satisfied with scoring changes). I’m sure in no small part due to the fact that he owns multiple rookie picks including the #2 overall.

The original QFL has never had an orphaned team. The only ownership change occured in 2000 when the Mannion/Wagner consortium was forced out due to lack of activity in favor of Shades.
