If you’ve been playing in the QFL for a while, you’ve probably noticed that franchise tag prices don’t change all that much. Quarterbacks? Pretty steady. Running backs? Business as usual. Tight ends and defenses? A few bumps here and there, but nothing that will keep a GM awake at night.

Then there’s the wide receiver market…

Somewhere between 2019 and 2026, the WR franchise price apparently took a vacation.

After spending years hovering around $26–27, wide receivers have suddenly crashed to just $18 in 2026—a nearly $10 discount. That’s the fantasy football equivalent of walking into the grocery store and finding filet mignon priced like ground beef.

Meanwhile:

  • QBs only slipped from $14 to $13.
  • RBs are still hanging around $21.
  • TEs actually got more expensive, climbing from $7 to $10.
  • Defenses dropped a bit, but nothing close to the WR fire sale.

The lesson? If you’ve been stockpiling elite receivers, congratulations—you’ve accidentally become a value investor. If you haven’t, now might be the time to start wondering whether the market has overcorrected.

Just remember: every bargain eventually attracts buyers. Enjoy the WR clearance rack while it lasts.
