Over half the league has submitted their votes on the 5 proposals presented by COMCOMM today. A few trends are already apparent; no trading Thursday players is cruising thru unopposed as was expected, moving the free agency/waivers deadline to appease QFL3 has little opposition, same for reducing points for defense yards against and reducing safety points to 4. The proposal with the least clear outcome is ppr/pprush (proposal 4 with two versions).

Here is where we stand:

Team 1 2 3 4v1 4v2 5
TenQ Y Y Y Y N N
FahQ Y Y N N Y Y
OQ Y Y Y N Y Y
QBC Y Y Y Y N Y
QBC Y N Y N Y Y
McDouche Y Y Y N Y Y
Qunet Y N N N Y Y

These are the proposals in their written form not the official “technical drafting”:

  1. Clarifying trade rule for players involved in Thursday games (not allowed).  Rule 22, Section 3, Article 1 is amended to read: Players may be traded any time except between kickoff of the first series of Sunday NFL games that commence at approximately 1:00pm (EST) and 8:00am (EST) of the following TUESDAY. During the weeks where there is a Thursday game and/or Saturday game (if applicable) players who partake in those games cannot be traded until the following week, which commences at 8:00am the following TUESDAY.
  2. Moving the free agency and waivers deadline (not trading)  to the start of week 16 games.  1.    Allow free agency and waiver wire into the playoffs of the fantasy season (to the Quince Bowl).  2.    All rules regarding free agency and waiver wires, such as rules related to contracts, still apply.  3.    From week 13 to week 16 (i.e., the QFL playoff period in which Free agency and waiver wire is allowed), each transaction costs $3.  4.    Free agency priority is based on winning percentage. Head to head is next tie breaker.
  3. Reducing defense points for yards allowed by 50% from 8/6/4/2/0/-2/-4 to 4/3/2/1/0/-1/-2
  4. Awarding points per reception and points per rush on a % basis rather than tiered.
    1. version one: .1 points per rush attempt and .5 points per reception with .5 point bonus for the 1st reception
    2. version two: .05 points per rush with a .05 point bonus for each rush starting with the 21st rush and .33 points per reception with .67 point bonus for the 1st reception.  This would effectively keep the scoring the same, but prorated between milestones
  5. Reduce safety scoring to 4 pts from 6
